In every age there have always been people who chose this special way of following Christ in response to the heavenly Father's invitation and at the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
The purpose is to live in Christ with an undivided heart. Entrance into the monastery is for those who have been baptized as Catholics for at least two years and preferably 40 years of age or under, but this can depend on individual circumstances.
